Hybrid Event: Launch of the publication "Building the Just City in Tanzania"

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and the Just City Platform (JCP) Tanzania would like to cordially invite you to participate in the launch of the publication “Building the Just City in Tanzania: Essays on Urban Housing” with the Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, Hon. Dr. Angeline Mabula as the Guest of Honor, on March 21, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Morena Hotel in Dodoma.

The publication features essays by Albert Nyiti, Dr. Felician Komu, Maria Carrizosa, Dr. Tatu Limbumba, Dr. Tim Ndezi and Prof. Tumsifu Jonas Nnkya and edited by Elisabeth Bollrich and Priscila Izar, highlights Tanzania's urban housing situation. It is a call to action for housing sector stakeholders to come together for meaningful exchange and constructive discussions on urban transformation and primarily affordable housing. The essays detail the governance and institutional framework, land governance, housing finance, options for informality, and a framework for gender justice and marginalized groups.

We invite you to join us online for the launch. You will have an opportunity to give your contribution and ask questions to the authors during the discussion at the end of the event.
