Applicable Data Protection Frameworks

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Tanzania is part of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), a German political foundation headquartered in Germany.

As part of an international organization, FES Tanzania processes personal data in accordance with the principles and requirements of:

  • The Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 of the United Republic of Tanzania and its applicable regulations;
  • The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable; and
  • The German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG), where applicable.

FES Tanzania is committed to ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, transparently, and securely, and only for specified and legitimate purposes.

Automatically Collected Data on the Website

By default, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung collects and stores the following information that has been automatically transmitted to us via your browser when you access this website in its server log files:

Individuals who no longer wish to receive newsletters, event invitations, publications, or other communications from FES Tanzania may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting info.tanzania(at)fes.de. Upon receiving such a request, FES Tanzania will remove the individual's contact information from the relevant mailing lists within a reasonable period.

International Data Transfers

Due to the international structure of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, personal data may be processed or accessed by authorized FES offices and service providers located outside Tanzania.
