TUCTA Training for Newly Elected Leaders

Against the background of changes in Tanzanian economy and labor relations, the workshop contributed to knowledge about and implementation of their roles and responsibilities, provided strategies and tools for trade unions decision-making and specific advocacy techniques. The training brought to the fore several challenges which were identified and discussed by the participants: lack of financial transparency in trade unions, lack of funds in trade unions, misrepresentation of women in leadership positions and lack of sufficient knowledge of trade union roles and responsibilities.
